Hemlock Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Walnut Cove, North Carolina.
The course first opened for play in 1969. The course was designed by Orell Robertson.
The Hemlock Course provides a spectacular view of the Dan River. The greens are undulating, the fairways are rolling with elevation changes and are tree lined. Water comes into play on six holes, including #16, a 559-yard, par 5, which has the river running down the left side for the first 200 yards, and a creek that takes a bite out of the fairway a little further ahead.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees, the course plays to 5,603 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,990 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 559 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 15, a par-3 that plays to 153 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 16, a 559-yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 3, a 272 yard par-4.
